Each of my home-made cushion is individually designed, using a different fabric combination. The design is contemporary and under-stated, adding a special touch to your coastal or country home. This will not look out of place on your favourite chair in any room of your house.

The designs are appliquéd onto the front of the cushions using free-motion embroidery. I love to combine spots, stripes and a splash of florals using a palette of coastal blues, taupe and soft dove grey with a dash of something brighter such as coral. The background for the applique on this design is either a smoke grey polka dot cotton (Clarke and Clarke) or a heavy weave pale grey and ivory striped cotton (Susie Watson Designs)

I love my hare designs. This one is leaping beautifully across the meadow. He can be made leaping up into the air, or down towards the ground. The hare is polka dot smoke grey, on a choice of backgrounds – either a more neutral pale grey and ivory striped heavy weave cotton by Susie Watson Designs or a wildflower meadow in full bloom (Cath Kidston) – I can’t decide which I like best.
